DeiC DataCite

DOIs make research data easy to find and cite. DeiC runs the DataCite Consortium, the Danish link to the international DOI issuer.

DataCite is an international non-profit organization that issues persistent identifiers, called DOIs, for research data and other research objects, both physical, digital and abstract.

The goal is for research data to be easy to find, access and cite, so that these types of research outputs can be found and reused.

DeiC DataCite Consortium

DeiC leads a consortium of Danish members of DataCite, which includes both universities and research centers.

The implementation of DOIs is handled by the members themselves through DataCite's tools, where extensive support is also available. DeiC finances the costs for the consortium participation, including for the members' implementation of DOIs.
