LUMI Capability HPC

Through DeiC's participation in the LUMI consortium, Danish researchers have access to LUMI, Europe's fastest supercomputer.

Researchers at Danish universities can apply for computing time on LUMI through the national e-resources and through EuroHPC. Universities also have local LUMI shares that they manage themselves. For researchers with urgent needs, LUMI also offers quick access to resources through an ad hoc process called "director's share," which is designed for mission-critical tasks. Access to LUMI is managed through the Puhuri platform, which makes it easy to manage the allocation and administration of resources.

The LUMI consortium

LUMI is located in CSC's data center in Kajaani, Finland, and is part of the pan-European EuroHPC collaboration. DeiCs participates in the LUMI consortium, which includes 11 countries.
