High performance computing at the Jülich Supercomputing Center

Abstract:
High performance computing at the Jülich Supercomputing Center: In 2012 the JSC installed JUQUEEN, an IBM BlueGene/Q with a peak performance of about 6 PF, which then was the most powerful system in Europe. The task will cover the integration of the system into the Jülich supercomputing environment and managing the system for a broad HPC user community, including peer-reviewed projects from PRACE (Partnership for Advanced Computing in Europe).

Jutta Docter is the leader of the BlueGene Team in the group High Performance Systems at the Jülich Supercomputing Center. She has experiences in running (super-)computers from various vendors since 1976 as a senior system programmer and support person. Since 2005 she is in charge of system administration of the line of Blue Gene machines at JSC.
