Quantum Infrastructure

As part of the implementation of the Government's national quantum strategy, DeiC has been allocated 50 million DKK from the Research Reserve in 2023, 40 million DKK in 2024 and 40 millions DKK in 2025.

The funds are to be used to implement the strategy's third focus area "Improved access to digital research infrastructure," with three main initiatives:

  • Competence development (Q-Competence)
  • Algorithm and software development (Q-Algorithm)
  • Access to testing on quantum computers (Q-Access)

Additionally, DeiC Forskningsnettet is participating in the quantum communication initiative EuroQCI, which also receives funding from the research reserve.

  • Quantum communication (Q-Net)
