The Niels Bohr Quantum Summer School is a new, international initiative and a concrete implementation of the Danish Government's Quantum Strategy from 2023.
Under the heading “Inspiration to shape the future”, the summer school brings together young talents from all over the world. Here, they receive world-class teaching from some of the most renowned international researchers. During the two weeks of the summer school, the participants will work with quantum systems, encryption, hardware and communication – all technologies that have the potential to revolutionise future solutions in areas such as health, security and climate.
The opening speech will be given by Minister of Higher Education and Science, Christina Egelund, after which there will be light refreshments and an opportunity to network with the students and other stakeholders in the summer school.
The summer school is organised by the Danish e-Infrastructure Consortium (DeiC) in collaboration with Danish universities and Innovation Centre Denmark
The summer school will start in Copenhagen in 2025, and in the coming years will move on to the University of Southern Denmark, the Technical University of Denmark and Aalborg University in that order.
