In a significant step for Denmark's quantum ambitions, DeiC has launched the Danish Quantum Algorithm Academy (DQAA), in alignment with the Danish National Strategy on Quantum Technology. The academy is set to foster a national ecosystem in quantum algorithms and software development through fully funded PhD and postdoctoral scholarships, and partly funded business scholarships. Also, the four calls aim to strengthen the partnership between academia and industry to drive commercial applications of quantum technology.
Calls are now open for applications and available for candidates across STEM disciplines and interdisciplinary fields such as health sciences, social sciences, and humanities.
Four types of calls
- Postdoc Scholarship on Quantum Algorithms or Quantum Software
- PhD Scholarship on Quantum Algorithms or Quantum Software
- Business Postdoc Scholarship on Quantum Algorithms or Quantum Software
- Business PhD Scholarship on Quantum Algorithms or Quantum Software
Apply here: https://deic.dk/da/quantum-technology/grants-and-funding Deadline for all 4 calls is 7. January 2025.
The PhD students and postdocs supported by the academy will be based in Danish universities or private companies, further expanding Denmark’s presence in the quantum field.
To further foster a national ecosystem in quantum algorithms and software development the Danish Quantum Algorithm Academy will also serve as a central hub for Denmark’s quantum community, coordinating events like workshops, meetings, and training programs to build a supportive national infrastructure.
