As a researcher at a Danish university, you can gain access to LUMI and other international supercomputers through the EuroHPC collaboration via DeiC.
- Applications are made through the EuroHPC website
- Guidance and support regarding applications for international resources are provided at your own university.
You can also gain access to LUMI through the national HPC resources coordinated via DeiC, consisting of local resources, HPC sandbox resources, and national e-resources, which are allocated twice a year by call and application.
Application process international calls
The application process for international calls depends on the type of resources being applied for.
Monthly calls with quick allocation of resources
Through Benchmark Access and Development Access, you can gain access to resources for testing and development prior to applying for Extreme and/or Regular Access.
There are 12 calls a year. An administrative check and a technical assessment are included. Resources are allocated 2 – 3 weeks after submission deadline.
- Benchmark Access Mode – Purpose: Code scalability tests or tests of AI applications prior to applying for an Extreme Scale and/or Regular Access.
- Development Access Mode – Purpose: Develop, test and optimise applications prior to applying for an Extreme Scale and/or Regular Access.
Calls for Regular, Extreme or AI Access, 2 – 4 times a year
In addition, resources for Regular Access, Extreme Access or AI Access can be applied for.
There are calls 2 - 4 times a year. A review process is included, and resources are allocated maximum 6 months after the application deadline.
- Regular Access Mode – purpose: Need for large allocations in terms of compute time, data storage and support resources.
- Extreme Scale Access Mode – purpose: Need for extremely large allocations in terms of compute time, data storage and support resources.
- AI and Data-Intensive Applications Access Mode – purpose: Need for artificial intelligence and data-intensive activities.
