The EuroHPC Joint Undertaking is a joint initiative between the EU and European countries, working to ensure that European researchers have access to world-class HPC computing power. A broad consortium of these supercomputers has jointly launched the EPICURE project to meet the growing need for specialized support. By gathering and leveraging technical expert skills from across Europe, the project has set a new standard in research support – where individual facilities offer first-level support to resolve operational issues, EPICURE provides advanced second- and third-level support to tackle even the most complex code challenges.
All researchers applying for EuroHPC grants can combine their computing power application with a request for specialized help – this also includes the smaller benchmark and development grants, which are far less demanding and quicker to secure than the major open calls.
What can you get help with?
Through EPICURE, you can receive assistance with a wide range of tasks:
- Code Porting: Transfer your code from CPU to GPU or between different systems.
- Refactoring and Optimization: Have your code reviewed and enhanced with a thorough performance analysis so you can make the most of your computing power.
- Benchmarking: Compare and evaluate your code to find the best optimization opportunities
- Performance Analysis: Gain detailed insights into how your code performs on the latest HPC systems.
How It Works
The support is available as an integrated part of your EuroHPC grant. When you submit your application, you can request expert assistance with a single click. The EPICURE team will then contact you to assess the task and initiate the collaboration. In the project’s first year, EPICURE has supported around 30 European projects by delivering solution models and code scripts through open webinars and via GitHub.
