DeiC Science Forum

The Science Forum is established as an advisory forum reporting to the DeiC board. The Science Forum will provide recommendations on the long-term strategic development of digital research infrastructure in Denmark.

The purpose of the DeiC Science Forum is to ensure the development of infrastructure that meets future needs. The group’s members are researchers who use the infrastructure and are at the forefront of its application, allowing them to advise the DeiC board on strategic direction.

The DeiC Science Forum aims to ensure alignment between international developments and Danish activities and strategies.

The DeiC Science Forum meets twice a year, in the spring and fall. The spring meeting takes the form of a workshop with presentations from members focusing on developments and trends in the field. Forum members can recommend national and international guests to give presentations at the meeting.

The purpose of the fall meeting is to produce a report/vision paper for the DeiC board on trends and future opportunities for the development of national e-infrastructure.

Additionally, the DeiC board may ask the Science Forum for recommendations on specific areas.

The group met for the first time in the fall of 2021.

The group’s working language is English.
