DeiC hands out the last portion of LUMI and Type 2 resources. There is a 14-day period to apply for a larger sandbox. System opens up Monday 02.12.2024 at 14.00 and ends at 17.12.2024 at 12.00.

Rules
The same amount of description as on: https://www.deic.dk/en/Supercomputing/Instructions-and-Guides/Access-to-HPC-Sandbox The HPC servicedesk must be used: https://deic-backoffice.atlassian.net/servicedesk/customer/portal/1 and the “Extra-large sandbox form”.
- Maximum 1/3 of the pool.
- Smaller cut on resource wish can be made to make it fit.
- Order of who will be granted:
- Students (incl PhD)
- First time applicants
- Projects that have been rejected in the national calls
- New projects/persons that have not applied for grants this year
- Persons that have been granted resources in the national calls in 2024 will be fitted in if there are resources left
- DeiC will see what projects fit best.
- A very clear timeline on when to use the resources must be present. Maximum 150 days projects.

Notice
Granted projects will be noticed by invite into projects created on LUMI or DeiC Throughput HPC. Rejected projects will be marked as “rejected” in the portal system.
